28And when he had come to the other side into the region of the Gadarenes, two demon-possessed men met him, coming out from the tombs, very fierce so that no one could pass by that way.29And behold, they cried out, saying, "What do we have to do with you, Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time?"30Now there was a herd of many pigs grazing at a distance from them.31But the demons begged him, saying, "If you cast us out, send us into the herd of pigs."32And he said to them, "Go." And they, having gone out, went away into the pigs. And behold, the whole herd rushed down the cliff into the sea, and they died in the waters.33But those who were herding them fled, went into the city, and reported everything—what had happened to the demon-possessed men.34And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus. And seeing him, they begged him to leave their region.
